This foundation is dedicated to the memory and life of Coty Hylton. Coty was a caring and loving person who gave back to his community whenever he could. At the young age of 18, he was diagnosed with Burkitts Lymphoma (African strain). He fought this battle and won!
A year later, it was discovered that the chemotherapy used to treat Burkitts Lymphoma had broken a chromosone, resulting in Coty acquiring Leukemia. Again, this brave young man fought this battle, going through chemotherapy and a bone marrow transplant. All indications were that the transplant was successful, however, on August 26, 2011, it was discovered that his bone marrow had overtaken the host marrow and once again, the Leukemia had reared its ugly head. On September 3, 2011, at the age of 21, Coty lost the battle and joined our angels in heaven to look out for all of us.
Although his life was short, Coty touched many lives. His friends describe him as the type of person you would meet and somehow your life was better. Coty would want us to carry on his beliefs and to continue to help as many people as possible, hence the reason for this foundation. Please consider a donation to help us help as many people battling Cancer as possible.
